What’s included in the barn hire?

At Woodhouse Barn we always try to give you an all-inclusive price, as we don’t believe in hidden charges. Please find below what is included with the barn hire:

  • Exclusivity of the barn from 9:30am to 1:00am on the day of the event
  • Access the day prior to set up tables and decorations etc. for up to 4 hours. (Time Arrangement)
  • Tables and chairs with table cloths up to 160 guests
  • Soft seating and tables in the Loft Bar
  • Outside table and benches in the courtyard
  • Two fully stocked licensed and staffed cash bars until 1am
  • A wedding day event manager will be at hand throughout your day, from welcoming your first guest to seeing the last guest safely to their transport.

What are the Terms of booking?

  • £950 deposit is required on booking and securing your date (non-refundable). And the full and final payment must be made 8 weeks before the wedding.

What’s the capacity?

For the wedding breakfast we can seat a maximum of 160 dining guests. For the evening reception we can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Can we get married at the Woodhouse Barn?

We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, which are held in the ‘Hen House’ the secluded eleven-sided hand built wooden structure, which is just steps away from the main Barn

Do you have on-site toilets?

We have a ladies powder room with three toilets and three toilets in the gents room, all on the ground floor and disabled toilet with baby changing unit.

Where do our guests leave their coats?

There is ample coat hooks in the arrival porch, which is not locked.

Do you have parking?

We have ample parking where cars park on a graveled area, which leads straight off the lane. Please inform us if guests arrive by bus for us to guide them to a turning point. We ask that the cars are collected by 2pm the following day. Unless you are having a second day get together at the barn.

Are you allowed to camp? 

NEW for 2017! We will have an on-site Bell Tent Village with log burners set out for you and your guests. The bell tents will be set up to sleep two or four guests and cost £190.00 per bell tent which includes camp beds and log stores for your camp fire experience.

By arrangement only and subject to numbers our in house chef can host that “Day After” barbecue so that your wedding party continues, giving your friends and family that extra time to catch up. Especially if they have travelled far and wide for your day.

Can we have candles?

No we do not allow any candles as we are predominately a wooden structure.

Is confetti allowed?

Yes of course – outside and biodegradable only please.

Is there a noise limit for our band or DJ?

Yes. Our sound limiter allows music up to 90 decibels to respect the countryside.

Are fireworks allowed?

Unfortunately we do not allow fireworks of any kind including sparklers as we are a wooden building and as we have neighboring farms with animals.

Could a marquee be considered?

Yes this can be an option for larger weddings, please get in touch with our event coordinators for more details.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

No not even as favours. We have two licensed bars that are fully stocked with reasonably priced drinks. These bars are fully staffed throughout your event and close at 1am. We do NOT permit alcohol to be brought onto the premises, so please inform your guests and our premises begins at the first roadside gate.

Do you supply tablecloths, china and cutlery?

Yes we will supply the tablecloths, china and cutlery.

Where do we put our wedding gifts?

For your cards and gifts we have an on site red postal letter box and an antique travelling trunk for gifts.

Bands and DJs 

You have the freedom to organise your own professional bands and DJs.
